Main Characters (Etriac Spoiler-Free)

Selaphiel (Previously known as Anteros,) 41 (ad infinitia).

An ambitious young prime alien scientist raised on Earth. As a younger man, he worked with his older "sister" Adrestia and advisor Selaphiel to develop what has been colloquially termed "The Iversia Project." In the present, he works overtime for two dimension-controlling organizations- the Etriac Density, and the Choir of Primes. On a personal level, Selaphiel is an extremely unorganized man with a deep love of humans. His field of study is time travel, though it has been mostly co-opted by other primal choir researchers after his initial discovery.

Lisem Rossem, 27 (ad inifinitia).

Lisem is what could be loosely described as a criminal by the ETD's standards. He has been placed under arrest by agents of the Etriac Density for exploding a giant orbital called The Eye, leading to the Earth's complete and total timeline destruction. He was also raised as a normal human in an alternate version of Earth called Iversia, leading to him still getting hungry and tired, despite being a psychic clone. His defining features are not having a job and time-skipping around for the past thousand years since gaining immortality. His hobbies include playing games that are at least 80% text and cooking ramen in the microwave.

Lissiri, 19.

Lissiri is the world's youngest savior. As a member of the ETD, she firmly believes in everything that she is doing, and everything she is going to do. She was adopted by Selaphiel as a child, apparently. Not much else is known about her.

The Etriac.

Infinite Connection. Is the wireless here even any good? Do they have LAN, maybe? No?

Locations:

Iversia: An alternate version Earth that was hit by Anteros and Adrestia's spaceship on entry. This caused the land and the sea to reverse, along with the normal mass extinction of the prehistoric era. While humanity's evolution progressed as normal, it was at a much increased rate due to the help of Anteros, against Adrestia's wishes. After decades of being stranded, Adrestia went insane and killed Anteros. A few decades later, Lisem Rossem and company destroy Adrestia to revive Anteros, ending the Iversia Project. It seems that after Lisem killed Adrestia to revive Anteros, the entire world was destroyed- assumedly because the psiwave balance was permanantly altered. Before that, it was a beautiful world with a varied story, mostly involving Adrestianism attempts to colonize the world with psychic users and people fucking around with intercity politics.

Neo San Yasen: The capitol city of The Allied Provinces and Urou-Sadia(APUS), the country that Lisem created. It was known as the assassin capitol of the world because of how many people got assassinated there, as one would imagine.

Etriac: When a member of the ETD is talking about Etriac, they mean the main hub- the throne room, where The Etriac lives (the person.) When a member of the public is talking about Etriac, they mean everywhere that is accessable to them. This means everywhere in the connected timeline, such as 1982 in Europe and 2006 in New York. Both these are considered Etriac. This is because what Etriac is isn't well-known to most people- they just see the agents doing good things and assume it's the UN two.

The Choir of Primes: A group of all-powerful primes that decides on the laws of the universe. They are the ones who decide the exact definition of e or pi, or how gravity pulls in towards larger amounts of mass. Members are elected in perpetuality- as soon as a prime is born, powerful Choir members welcome them into the world and test their aptitude for Choir work by looking at their whole lives. If they like the new member, that member will be scouted in due time and added to the choir. The foundation is very educational- members have to be constantly putting out research that defines the foundations of the world (See "Psychic Powers".) They also hold court sessions to try people who break the laws of the universe, like when Lisem exploded the Eye.

Basic Definitions

Primes: Primes are the most common type of alien across the galaxy. They can spawn at any location, at any time, but follow the same principals as the normal group of primes. There will always be more of them, and there will always be a further gap between their births. Luckily for the primes, they can comprehend time travel with their four-dimensional and unkillable brains. Their main trait is being made entirely out of psiwaves, the quantum physics denotion for the state of a particle. By physicalizing this, they can turn their bodies into pure math. This means by writing proofs with their infinite lifespans, they can use their bodies to execute these proofs- creating what's known as "psychic powers" or "magic."

Killing Primes: There has only been one time a prime has died, and it was when Lisem Rossem killed Adrestia in Iversia. His siblings were being absorbed by her, so he used her soul to turn them into flesh and blood humans, exausting it entirely. However, this would be almost impossible to recreate, as the emotional strain on the person killing the prime would have to be equal or greater then the energy inside the prime.

Psychic Powers: Anyone can use psychic powers, not just primes. Certain humans are more in tune with the psiwaves in their brains, and can use their psychic powers by leaking those psiwaves physically through their pores. Anything done with psychic powers has to be doable with the physical, floating psychic goo known as "miasma," or it has to follow a rule of quantum physics. For example: physical miasma can become quantum entangled with each other, so psychic users in Iversia would connect two people such that they could always hear each other. To create new kinds of psychic powers, new math proofs have to be made. For example: to discover time travel, the Iversia Project was created, and a natural time traveller was born. Anteros then had to type up all of that data into a presentable form, which could be analyzed and replicated by other members of the choir. This is how the primes spread new psychic powers. They can be learned instinctually, but for almost all primes it takes much less time to just read a study.

Magic Powers: This is what people referred to psychic powers as in Lisem's destroyed Iversian timeline.

Psychic Cloning: Psychic clones used to be a huge problem in Iversia. Because Anteros' dead body was absorbed into the atmosphere, it would occassionally densify around powerful psychic humans to "clone" them, creating a snapshot of their entire personhood from a random point in their life. Lisem is one of these clones of a man named Xerus, though he has been dead for thousands of years. Three of Lisem's siblings from Iversia are also psychic clones: Lupi, Laniatores, and Alex (his step-brother.) Despite being clones, they're merely DNA snapshots- they all have their own personalities and develop into seperate people over time.

Psychic Constructs: Psychic Constructs are like Psychic Clones, except they are created by another powerful psychic intentionally. This psychic can be a human, but it's much more common for Primes to create them, as you have to supply all constructs with a steady stream of psiwaves until they become sentient enough to live on their own- though they sometimes never do.

Adrestianism: Adrestsianism is the most important tenent of Iversian Society. It is the belief that all psychic powers in the world came from Adrestia, and were granted to people to do her will. This ended up being partially true: She was granting her powers to people and was compelling them, but her intentions were unclear. Lisem still believes in this religion and holds it's teachings in his heart to some degree, despite meeting Adrestia face to face. After all, he was raised with it since he was 9. Despite that, he is firmly against beliving in the "superiority" of all psychic users, unlike the leader of APUS' opposition.

Absolutism: In the Choir of Primes, many members believe Psychic clones can never become fully sentient. People like Deimos think because the psiwaves are originally supplied by the prime, any being created must have some invisible quantum ties that can't be split by mere human will. People like Selaphiel argue that given enough time, all constructs tend towards independence when left alone. This was one of the founding principles of the Iversia Project.

ETD: The Etriac Density, the group. Lisem, Lissiri, Selaphiel, and the Etriac are all members.

The Eye: The orbital that was surrounding the current timeline's Earth before it was exploded by Lisem, sending the whole world into chaos. Originally it was created by Selaphiel to stabilize an already-failing Earth's timeline. When Lisem exploded it, it just tore off the bandaid.
